After Crab Fest, the work isn’t done yet!

30 more boxes of books headed over to Bright Lights Book Project!
That is 1068 # of books going to appreciative readers and NOT going to our landfill or bogging down recycling.
Thanks to Alaska Airlines for the discount to make sending these books manageable, and our Kodiak Alaska Air Cargo team for helping us unload!

(And also, we truly appreciate Threshold Services Inc. for taking all our books that are ready to be recycled all year long!)

We are thrilled to host local author L.A. Eaton as she launches her new Children’s Book, “Buoy Adrift at Sea” here in Kodiak!

Join us for storytime at 10:30 and stay afterwards to get your book signed, visit with Linda, and participate in a buoy craft! 🌊

This is a FREE event. Books will be available for purchase. Let’s celebrate our local authors!

🌊⚓️⛴️
About the Book:
Buoy loved working on the fishing boat, helping the fishermen find their crab pots or long lines when the boat was out to sea. But one night as he was tucked snuggly on the boat’s deck, a big storm sent angry waves crashing over Buoy, throwing him into the raging sea.

Will Buoy ever find his boat? Will he hang on to hope that everything will be alright? Will he ever feel useful and loved again?

Find out in Buoy Adrift at Sea.
