Operation Blue Horizon

Operation Blue Horizon Operation Blue Horizon (OBH) is a grassroots activist organization based in Kokomo, Indiana.

Our mission is to educate, engage, and mobilize our community around local Democratic values, policies, and candidates—driving civic action for a more just and inclusive future here in Howard County. We are an official subcommittee of the Howard County Democratic Party, focused on community outreach, civic education, and direct action. Howard County around local Democratic values, policies, and candidates—with a strong emphasis on equity, accountability, and people-powered change. What sets OBH apart is our hands-on approach:
- We organize protests, rallies, and voter outreach events
- We build partnerships with other local organizations and advocacy groups
- We develop educational content to help residents better understand how local government works

And we strive to create inclusive, welcoming spaces where everyday people feel empowered to take action

We are proud to be part of the Democratic Party, but we operate with a bold, activist spirit. OBH was created to bridge the gap between politics and people—to meet folks where they are and make change feel possible.

Bring your favorite cookout side, yard game, and your (leashed) dogs and enjoy the evening with us as we welcome a summer full of events to strengthen our candidates and the Howard county Democratic Party.
