❄️️️️☀️ With the warmer weather, we've got a couple of things to keep in mind:

*Don't let your faucets drip away!* 💧 Not only will it help conserve water, but it'll also save you some $$ on your utility bills 💸.

*Time to inspect those pipes!* 🔧 If you've had frozen pipes make sure to check around your home for any signs of flowing or excessive water caused by pipes that may have frozen and burst. 🔥 Don't wait until it's too late! 🚨

Let's look out for each other and keep our community safe and water-efficient! 🌟 If you need any help or have any concerns, feel free to reach out to the city.

Stay safe, and let's make Konawa shine! ✨

Important Update for Konawa Residents!

As of yesterday, all water wells are online and flowing at full capacity. We're working hard to meet the demand, but we're having a tough time keeping up with the usage. We're doing everything we can to get the system stabilized, but it's going to take some time. Due to the temperatures we have been unable to cut the flow off completely in order to build levels at the well fields.

You may notice some discoloration in the water while we work to remedy the issues with pressure. This is due to the tanks running low and being refilled. Please be patient as we work to get everything back to normal.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. We're doing our best to provide you with safe and reliable water service.

Thanks for your patience and support.

Trash Service will be postponed this week until Friday 1/30/2026.

UPDATE FROM THE CITY OF KONAWA:
Check out the progress we've made overnight! Our wells produced an extra 13,000 gallons of water, and we're seeing the levels rise in the tower. As the pressure increases, we'll start to see improvements in our water system. To help speed things up, we're asking everyone to conserve water throughout the day. One simple step you can take is to stop dripping your faucets once temps rise above freezing. Let's work together to get through this! We'll keep you updated on our progress.

Attention Konawa residents!

As our water pressure builds, please remember to conserve water where you can. Keep those faucets dripping to prevent pipes from freezing, but consider skipping non-essential water uses like running full loads of laundry today if possible.

Also, a heads up: when our water pressure drops and then returns to normal, some water discoloration can occur. Before washing those delicate items, check your water to make sure it's clear.

Let's work together to keep our water system running smoothly!

"NOTICE TO RESIDENTS: Due to a structure fire early this morning and excessive water usage from dripping faucets, we're expecting low water pressure and possible outages throughout the day. Our team is working diligently to bring an additional well online to help alleviate the issue. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to restore normal water service. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. "

🧊 City of Konawa Winter Weather Alert 🧊
Stay Safe & Prevent Costly Repairs This Winter!

🌡️ Drip to Defend Your Pipes!
When temperatures drop below freezing, protect your home by letting faucets drip slowly—especially those on exterior walls. This helps prevent pipes from freezing and bursting.

✅ Pro Tips:

Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air circulate.

Keep your thermostat set to the same temperature day and night.

Know where your main water shut-off valve is—just in case!

🚗 Snow & Ice Safety Reminders:

Drive only if necessary—roads may be slick and visibility low.

Keep an emergency kit in your car (blankets, flashlight, snacks, etc.).

Watch for black ice on sidewalks and driveways—use salt or sand for traction.

Check on neighbors, especially the elderly or those with limited mobility.

Let’s keep Konawa safe, warm, and connected this winter.
