Today is Colorado Gives Day!

Together, we have the chance to make something incredible happen for Southeast Colorado.

When you give to the Plaza Block Building, you’re creating a space for art classes, youth programs, community gatherings, local makers, and so much more.

Every gift helps us open our doors and open new possibilities for our community.

Let’s make today count.

Imagine walking into the Plaza Block Building and seeing students painting, neighbors sharing coffee, and artists showcasing their work where dusty hallways and empty rooms used to be. That’s the future we’re building—and you can help make it happen.

Colorado Gives Day is December 9, but early giving has already begun!

Your early gift helps us:

Finish transforming historic storefronts into gallery and classroom space
Offer creative programs for youth and adults
Create a welcoming place where our community can gather, learn, and connect

Every donation—no matter the size—moves us closer to opening the doors as a vibrant community arts center for Southeast Colorado.

Give early for Colorado Gives Day at https://www.coloradogives.org/story/jti66f and help turn this vision into reality.

On this Giving Tuesday, we’re reflecting on the impact of art in our community. The mural featured here, created by local artist Analee Valverde, is a shining example of SECCP’s mission to establish a corridor of art throughout Southeast Colorado.

Your support today helps fuel this vision. And with Colorado Gives Day on December 9, you have an additional opportunity to invest in local youth, public art, and the creative future of our region. Early giving is already underway.

Let’s create a magnitude of good together!

This Thanksgiving, we’re especially grateful for you! The neighbors, families, youth, partners, and volunteers who make Southeast Colorado such a special place.

Every time you show up, cheer on a young artist, share a post, or lend a helping hand, you’re helping SECCP build a stronger, more creative, and more resilient community.

From all of us at SECCP: Thank YOU for believing in Southeast Colorado and in the power of community.

Tell us: What are you thankful for in our community this year?

Every historic building has a story, and you’re now part of ours!

The Plaza Block Building, built in 1895, has watched over downtown La Junta for generations. Now, we’re writing its next chapter as a public art gallery, meeting space, and gathering place for our whole region.

Colorado Gives Day is December 9, and early giving has begun. This is our first year participating in Colorado Gives, and we’re excited (and a little nervous!) to see how far our community can go together.

By giving early, you help us:

Offer creative and educational programs for our community
Support local artists with exhibit and teaching space
Keep this historic building active, cared for, and open to the public

Join the story of the Plaza Block Building with an early Colorado Gives Day donation at https://www.coloradogives.org/story/jti66f

Thank you for believing in rural arts, history, and community.
