In the latest U.S. data:
✋ 35% of injuries involve hands and fingers
👁️ 19% involve the eyes
👂 22% involve the head, face, and ears
🔥 Burns remain the most common injury type, accounting for roughly 44% of cases

Know the Law: ALL FIREWORKS are Illegal in the City of La Verne!

🚫 La Verne has zero tolerance for the sale, possession and use of ANY and ALL fireworks (municipal code 15.32.040).

🚫"Safe & Sane" are also illegal in the City of La Verne.

🚫 Illegal fireworks are extremely dangerous and can cause trauma to people and pets.

🚫 Illegal fireworks include: Sky rockets, Bottle rockets, Roman candles, Aerial shells and any other fireworks that explode, go into the air, or move on the ground in an uncontrollable manner.

❗If convicted, a violator could be fined and sent to jail.

✍️ Parents are liable for any damage or injuries caused by their children using fireworks.

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Let US do the heavy lifting for you and provide the FIREWORKS! The Friends of the 4th of July and the City of La Verne join forces to host one of the most spectacular fireworks shows in the area!

🎇Witness approximately 818 shells and 1,595 total shots light up the beautiful La Verne nighttime skies, providing a perfectly orchestrated show to take community and country pride in!
