Good Morning! Our Dinner & Spirits event Saturday in Crowley is getting closer. Here’s the schedule:
🍔5:30PM – Arrival, Sign In (inside theater) & Dinner (not included in cost)
🪑6:45 PM- Please find a seat inside the Rice Theater & enjoy the event!
📱7:00 PM- Equipment & Rules
🏛️7:30 PM – History & Spirits Presentation in the Rice Theater led by historian Claire Dore’. Deep dive into the history of Crowley! Stories of spirits and unexplained events tied to the locations.
🔦8:00 PM – Paranormal Investigation begins!! Guests will be divided into small groups & guided through each building. The investigations will be led by Louisiana Spirits.
Learn how to use paranormal equipment & become your own investigator!

Female voice??? So I was at Vermilionville this week filming for my other social media I do with a friend (travel media), when I caught something interesting! We were the only ones on the front porch eating and apparently there was another female joining us! This is such a historic & active location. The full video is on Cajun Country Paracon page…I created a video about the food & restaurant there. It wasn’t until I started editing the video that I caught it. So, we caught a voice on our camera in the lobby of the Rice Theater. Leah checked all cameras at that exact time and didn’t catch it on any of them. This is near the women’s bathroom where we are told a female apparition has been seen/heard. To me it sounds female, but I have old ears! lol.. What do you guys hear? Any ideas?

We love the history of our state as well as the spirits. The Acadiana Team is looking forward to visiting this location & its spirits. Nestled among the oak trees of Lafayette, Acadian Village is more than a collection of historic buildings, it’s a living tribute to the resilience and heritage of the Cajun people. Created in the 1970s on the grounds of LARC, the village was designed to preserve a disappearing way of life while supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through employment opportunities.
Walking through Acadian Village is like stepping back into 19th-century Acadiana. Many of the homes were rescued from across South Louisiana, carefully moved piece by piece, and restored to reflect the craftsmanship of early Acadian settlers. Hand-hewn cypress beams, traditional bousillage walls, and historic furnishings tell the story of families who transformed the Louisiana frontier into a thriving culture. Today, Acadian Village stands as a reminder that history isn’t just found in books, it’s found in the homes, traditions, and stories passed from one generation to the next. Whether visiting during a quiet afternoon or the famous Christmas lights of Noël Acadien au Village, guests experience a piece of Cajun history that continues to inspire pride throughout Acadiana.
