The Chambers County Young Farmers had an incredible time at the 2026 Alabama Young Farmers Conference in Gulf Shores! 🌾🌊

We enjoyed listening to great speakers, learning from hands-on demonstrations, and sharing some amazing food along the way. Best of all was the opportunity to network with fellow young farmers from across the state, exchange ideas, and build friendships that will last well beyond the conference.

Congratulations to Christopher and Hannah Langley for winning the Forestry Division in the Alabama Outstanding Young Farm Family competition.

Thanks to DJ McElvy at McElvy Custom Woodworks for the two beautiful wall farm signs.

Huge thanks to Alabama Farmers Federation who helped make this event such a success—we’re heading home inspired and ready to put what we learned to work! 💪🚜

Chambers County Cattlemen’s Association Annual Meeting was wonderful! With great food, speakers, and door prizes, we enjoyed it very much.

The Chambers County Young Farmers have a bright future with leaders already stepping up to make a difference. Young leaders on the cattlemen’s board are Christopher Langley, Walt Shealey, Taylor Arnett, and Ethan Rankin.

Congratulations to Drew and Lauren Wendland are the nation’s top young farm family!

They were named the Achievement Award winners today during American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Convention in Anaheim, California.

The Wendlands raise row crops, cattle and hay in Autaugaville at Autauga Farming Co., Inc. Their most precious crop, however, includes sons Mills, Smith and Rhett.

Way to go, Wendlands!

We want to say thank you to everyone who made the Chambers County Young Farmers Rodeo on November 21 & 22 possible. This event would not have happened without the incredible support from our community, our sponsors, and the Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson. Thank you Frontier Classic Rodeo for hosting. Thank you Elli Zorn for the amazing photos. Thanks for all the Young Farmers for the time they spent behind the scenes and during the rodeo. Your help, time, and dedication truly mean more than we can say.

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch and support us, even through the rain. Your presence and encouragement meant everything. Thank you to all the contestants who competed, and to all the rodeo personnel who worked hard to keep everything running smoothly.

Most of all, we thank the good Lord for watching over the riders, livestock, and everyone involved. We put God first, and without Him, nothing is possible. We are truly blessed by this community and the support we continue to receive.

Our Young Farmers Christmas Party was a fantastic way to round off the year. Members came together to enjoy a warm, welcoming evening with a roaring bonfire, great company, and a delicious spread of homemade food prepared by our own members.

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us throughout the year. Your effort, enthusiasm, and commitment have made it another great year for our Young Farmers.

We’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the year ahead.
