Good morning everyone!

I want to first thank everyone who made time to go vote during this election. We should appreciate the opportunity we have to choose our leaders.

First, I thank Mr. Nations for running a good, clean campaign.

I think the race proves the vast majority of our citizens like the direction Troup County is headed!

I appreciate my family supporting me. I appreciate my friends.

Today I go back to work with my fellow commissioners and county staff to serve our citizens.

REMINDER❗ EARLY VOTING for the May 24, 2022 General Primary/Non-Partisan Election has begun at the Troup County Government Center, located at 100 Ridley Avenue, LaGrange, GA 30240.

Early voting will be held from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday from May 2, 2022 - May 20, 2022 at the Troup County Government Center. Early voting will also be offered on two Mandatory Saturdays: May 7, 2022 and May 14, 2022 from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Today, the Lagrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce recognized State Representative Randy Nix for his 16years of service...he is leaving the House.

I appreciate his support of Troup County for the years I have served on the Board of Commissioners.

Approximately 3 years ago, I with the assistance of Rep Randy Nix, was able to arrange for a group of local citizens to meet with the Ga DNR Commissioner. The purpose was to discuss the need for increased stocking of largemouth bass in WP Lake. Thanks to the efforts of local DNR agent, Brent Hess, the restocking program is working. This has been a big issue for anglers and should definitely improve the number of fishermen/fishermen coming to our lake.

Not only did Commissioner Mark Williams help us in stocking largemouth but also helped us obtain $ 1.8mil for building our conference center at Pyne Road Park.

I have yet to see my grandson's fish on my table!

Every election cycle issues come up about campaign signs. I want to be respectful so I always seek permission from the private land owner before placing a sign.

I have put up many signs around the county and I thank each of you for allowing me to display.

Those that have asked for signs, we have an ongoing list to deliver & we will get to you as soon as we can. Thank you again!
