Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams on an incredible performance at Sectionals! The girls team finished as Sectional Runner-Up, while the boys team were crowned Sectional Champions!
The girls were led by Chloe Brown, who dominated the competition by winning all four of her events and scoring an outstanding 40 points for the team. Mykah Collier-Fisher also had an amazing day, earning third place in the 200m, second place in the long jump, and second place in the 100m while setting a new school record with a time of 13.05 seconds!
The boys team started off strong with an incredible 1-2-3 sweep in the steeplechase by Rory Linehan, Jason Ludlow, and Jack West. Jason Ludlow continued his dominant performance by winning the 400m hurdles and the mile, while also placing third in the two mile. Rory Linehan added second-place finishes in both the mile and two mile, along with a third-place finish in the 800m. Rory and Jason combined for a total of 68 points!
Will Sheldon captured the sectional title in the triple jump and added a second-place finish in the long jump. Anderson Osborne won the 110m hurdles and was also part of the victorious 4x100m relay team alongside Tyler Morrisey, Ricky Stroup, and Trey Stathis. Dereck Graven earned second place in the discus, while Tyler Morrisey added a third-place finish in the 200m.
Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season and an unforgettable sectional meet! Countless personal bests were achieved, and every member of the team played an important role in these incredible team accomplishments!
