We extend our deepest condolences to the City of Walker Fire Department, for the unexpected loss of their Fire Chief.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and members of the Walker Fire Department during this incredibly difficult time.

The situation is now All Clear

The shelter-in-place advisory for Lake Odessa residents in the area of Lincoln and 4th has been lifted by the Lake Odessa Fire Department. Crews will remain on-site to continue repair work, but the shelter-in-place order is no longer in effect.

Update 2:00 - Roadways are fully open - thank you!

Update 1:18 pm - one lane has been opened up for traffic at this time. Please follow direction and go slow.

Please avoid the area of Jordan Lake RD and Musgrove.
Roadway will be shutdown.

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Hamilton, Mi. Fire Department and the family of Fire Chief David Haverdink.

Chief Haverdink was hit and killed in the Line of Duty by a vehicle on Tuesday evening. He passed away yesterday, on Christmas Day.

Chief Haverdink, 74, was on the scene of a medical emergency on M-40 in Heath Township around 1800 hours that day when he was hit by the vehicle.

Chief Haverdink was with the Hamilton Fire Department for 51 years and served as the chief for more than 40 of those years. He also served as Sheriff of the Allegan County Sheriff's Office for eight years. Our condolences/Rest in Peace.
