Today, I had the privilege of visiting the Antioch Traveling Closet (ATC) in Antioch, IL — a truly inspiring nonprofit that makes sure no child, adult, or senior in our community goes without life’s basic essentials.
Even in their small space, the ATC’s impact is incredible. Today alone, they served 118 families with clothing, shoes, toiletries, diapers, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. They even provided 33 free haircuts — thanks to four amazing volunteer stylists who gave their time and talent to help people look and feel their best.
What they do each month reminds me why community matters and why I’m running to represent District 64. When elected to the Illinois State House, I’ll continue fighting to ensure every person in our district has access to the essentials they need to live with dignity.
Let’s make sure organizations like ATC have the support and space they need to keep doing this vital work.
