Some photos from the explorers day of training

What a great day of training with the next generation of law enforcement officers! We were proud to join with Polk State College Kenneth C. Thompson Institute of Public Safety and the Polk County Sheriff's Office in hosting over 300 young adults from Police Explorer programs from around the state. Beginning with opening remarks from Chief Giddens early this morning, students were put through a variety of exercises such as traffic stops, building searches and domestic disturbances. Students also got the chance to fly one of our new drones and guide our new robot.
