Big thanks to our hardworking PSE crews and crews from Canada and Idaho for helping to restore our power.

Continue to follow CFI for updates on flood recovery efforts.

We understand how frustrating extended outages are and that you are counting on us to get your power restored.

Many customers are waking up to see their estimated restoration times were pushed out overnight. These changes happened for two primary reasons:

• In some areas, like Whidbey Island and Pierce County, crews found more damage to neighborhood power lines after energizing transmission lines and substations. This additional damage needs to be repaired for power to be restored.
• Estimated restoration times that had previously been set for midnight last night were set in error. The majority of these midnight ETRs should have been set for today, 12/19 at 11:59 PM – 24 hours later. We know how much you depend on us for accurate information and we deeply regret the error.

Below are current estimated restoration times for the remaining hard-hit areas:

• Whatcom and Skagit counties: Most customers will have their power restored by 11:59 PM tonight with the exception of some areas where flooding remains an issue. In flooded areas, we are closely watching flood status and are prepared to restore power as soon as it’s safe.
• Island County: After additional winds on Thursday slowed crews down and caused some additional damage, a full complement of crews are ready to make progress on the island this morning. We anticipate that most customers will have their power restored by 11:59 PM tonight. As we continue to assess the extensive damage on the south end of the island, there may be pockets of customers whose outages extend into Saturday.
• North King County: Outside of Skykomish, storm-related outages have been mostly restored. Skykomish, which had a short period of restoration yesterday before losing power again, requires a helicopter patrol of the transmission line due to access limitations on the ground. The estimated restoration time for Skykomish is currently set for 11:59 PM tonight, and we will provide an update once we have visibility into the damage.
• South King County: Most storm-related outages have been restored. Restoration in Greenwater is complex, requiring us to string wire across the White River during daylight hours, and for that reason the ETR is set for 11:59 PM tonight. That timeframe will be updated as needed.
• Pierce & Thurston Counties: Most customers will have their power restored throughout the day today as crews complete the remainder of the more localized outages.
• Kittitas County: Most customers will have their power restored by 8 p.m. today.

As crews start working on your repairs, they will update your ETR with outage-specific information based on field conditions and level of damage.
