We’re having a great time at Pridefest 2026 today! 🌈🚑

We can officially confirm: you know it's a good party when there's confetti stuck in the grill of the ambulance.

We're still standing by in New Hope for the rest of today's festivities. Stay safe, have fun, and enjoy the celebration!

Last week, one of our members volunteered their time to visit the Red Devil Rescue Club at Hunterdon Central Regional High School and bring one of our rigs for the students to explore. Since the school is outside our primary response area, this allowed us to support the program while remaining available to cover our community. We’re always happy to encourage interest in EMS, rescue, and community service. Thanks to the club for having us. 🚑 Hunterdon Central Regional High School

🚨 May Member Spotlight 🚨

As EMS Week approaches later this month (May 17–23), we’re continuing our member spotlights by recognizing someone who has helped shape this squad in countless ways, Chief Kevin Snyder.

Kevin grew up in West Amwell, where he still resides with his wife Sara and sons Luke and Matthew. In 1998, he opened Amwell Automotive, which he co-owns and operates. Over the years, he has built strong personal and professional relationships with clients throughout our community.

Kevin’s path into EMS started as a teenager when he witnessed a seizure and felt helpless. That moment pushed him to take action. He obtained his EMT certification in 1989 and has since helped countless members of our community in times of need. He has also earned multiple technical rescue certifications, including vehicle extrication, water rescue, rope rescue, and boat operations. Throughout most of his rescue squad career, Kevin has served in an official capacity and currently serves as our Chief.

Kevin strongly believes that everyone should volunteer in some capacity. Through his service, he has found purpose, pride, confidence, and lifelong friendships. While he may not ride the ambulance as regularly as he once did, he still responds when needed, assisting on second calls and other incidents. His focus has also shifted toward ensuring the future stability of the organization. As the cost of providing emergency services continues to rise far faster than available funding, Kevin is working to apply his business knowledge and leadership experience to help secure the squad’s long-term sustainability.

In his spare time, Kevin serves as a trustee and treasurer at Sandy Ridge Church. He enjoys working on home projects, fishing, ATV riding, RVing, and spending time outdoors.

Kevin also wants to highlight a growing concern. The future of EMS is uncertain, as increasing expenses and limited funding have become a serious nationwide issue. If you are interested in volunteering or supporting the squad in any way, please reach out.

Shadfest 2026: Not exactly postcard weather. 🥶

Downtown is still moving though, and so are we. We're out on Bridge Street keeping an eye on things and staying ready for the event.

We'll be back again tomorrow. If you're heading down, layer up and come say hi.

Did you know our team trains year-round to stay current and ready, including protocols on both sides of the river?

Last night we reviewed NJ and PA protocols and went over medications. Great turnout both in person and online.

It's the kind of work you don't see, but it makes all the difference when you call us. 💪

This is just as much yours as it is ours, and we'd love to have you there.

🗓️ When: Sunday, May 24 at 12:00 p.m.
📍 Where: 70 Alexander Ave, Lambertville, NJ

Please RSVP to [email protected] by May 17 so we can plan accordingly. We hope to see you there.

A huge thank you to the former Hibernia Fire Company for their continued support of LNHARS and our community. 🍀

This week, members presented the squad with a $5,000 donation that will go directly toward new AEDs. These lifesaving devices are essential to patient care and must be replaced periodically, making this a meaningful investment in our community.

A few years ago, their generosity also helped us purchase our Ford Transit ambulance.

Thank you to Hibernia, and to Richard Carmosino and Millard Thornton for coming out to present the check. Pictured with them are Chief Kevin Snyder and President Lisa Aron.

April Member Spotlight: Emily Lesinski 🚑

If you are looking for weekend coverage, there is a good chance you have seen Emily on the truck. She is a familiar face on weekends, balancing squad time with a full schedule outside of EMS.

Emily works full-time as a theology teacher in Princeton and is the proud mom of two daughters, ages 16 and 20. Her oldest is studying engineering at Villanova University (go Wildcats), and her younger daughter is a competitive Irish dancer currently training for her fourth World Championships. At home, she also has two orange cats who, by her account, seem to share a single brain cell.

When she is not riding, she enjoys reading and traveling, although much of her time is spent keeping up with her daughter’s dance schedule, including practices and competitions.

Her path to EMS started close to home. For 20 years, she lived across the street from her local rescue squad. About six years ago, they put out a call for volunteers on Facebook. She and her daughter answered. They ended up going through EMT school together, and the rest is history.

For Emily, serving this community means recognizing that every call may be someone’s worst day. Patients may be scared, unsure, or overwhelmed. She approaches each call with the mindset of treating people the way she would want her own family treated.

One thing she wants people to know is that you do not need a medical background to get started in EMS. What matters most is a caring spirit, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. It is not always easy, but it is worth it (hint hint, dear readers).

And a couple of fun facts. She competed in Ireland at the 2003 World Championships of Irish Dance, and she once appeared on MTV’s The State during her senior year of high school.

Thank you, Emily, for showing up on weekends and for your continued dedication to this community.
