The Monroe County Sheriff is aware of recent car break-ins within our township and each break-in is being investigated. There will also be an increase in police presence within the township while the investigation continues.

Today is the last day for Early Voting at the Whiteford Center Fire Station, 9244 Whiteford Center Road, Ottawa Lake, MI. Early voting is available until 4:00 pm.

The votes from Early Voting will be tabulated at 8 pm on Election Day, at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 5790 W. Temperance Road, Ottawa Lake, MI.

Absentee ballots can be returned until 8 pm on Election Day.

The polls will be open from 7 am until 8 pm on Election Day, August 4, 2026 at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 5790 W. Temperance Road, Ottawa Lake, MI.

The Whiteford Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 9:45 am. The purpose of the meeting is:
1. Consider/approve a resolution and ballot language for a Fire Operating Millage to be placed on the November 3, 2026 ballot.
2. Annual review of Township insurance with agent Geoff Lansky

The public is invited to attend.

The State Primary election is Tuesday, August 4th with polls open 7 am to 8 pm at St. Michael Lutheran Church. There are opportunities to vote if you can't make it that day.

Absentee ballots are available at the Township Office. Please call 734-856-5383.

Early Voting is open every day through Sunday, August 2 at the Whiteford Center Fire Station, 9244 Whiteford Center Road, Ottawa Lake, MI from 8 am to 4 pm. Follow the signs to the back of the building.

Early voting begins Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Whiteford Center Fire Station. Hours are 8 am to 4 pm. Voting will take place here through August 2, 2026.

Voting on Election Day August 4, 2026 will take place at St. Michael Lutheran Church 7 am to 8 pm. Please call the clerk office with any questions 734-856-5383.
