Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and our communities.

We are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy because of their sacrifice. Please take a moment today to remember our fallen heroes and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

Last night we were able to take a moment to recognize and congratulate the 2025 Lancaster Fire Department Firefighter of the Year Michael Crum .
This honor represents more than just hard work — it reflects dedication, leadership, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to serving both the department and the community. The countless hours spent training, responding to calls, and always being willing to step up never go unnoticed.
Thank you for the sacrifices you make and for setting the standard of what it means to serve with pride and integrity. Lancaster is fortunate to have firefighters who continue to embody the values of the fire service every single day.
Congratulations again on being named Lancaster Firefighter of the Year for 2025 — this recognition is truly well deserved.

The Town is launching a new emergency notification system through Genasys to help keep residents informed during emergencies, road closures, severe weather events, and other important community updates.

Signing up is quick, free and helps ensure you receive timely information when you need it most.

With the new system, you can choose how you receive alerts: text, phone call, email.

Help us reach everyone! Not everyone is comfortable with technology or has access to it regularly. Please consider checking in with your family members and neighbors to see if they might need a hand creating an account. A few minutes now could make a difference in an emergency.

Friday night, the Lancaster Fire Department responded mutual aid to assist the Whitefield Fire Department with a reported structure fire on Highland Street in Whitefield.
Lancaster Fire responded with Engine 4 and Ladder 1 to assist with fire suppression operations alongside multiple neighboring departments.
The occupants of the residence were able to exit the home safely.
Crews worked together to bring the fire under control and prevent further extension.
The Lancaster Fire Department is proud to support our mutual aid brothers and appreciates the coordinated efforts of all departments that responded.
