RMS families, check out these free and low-cost summer camp opportunities for rising 6th–9th graders!

Students can explore music, STEM, Girl Scouts, tennis, visual/commercial arts, and sports camps this summer. 🙌

Opportunities include:

🎾 ACES Tennis Camps
🎨 LCTC Visual/Commercial Arts Camp

🎉 Raiders on Deck 2026 💙💛

Raiders on Deck took place yesterday, and our students had a blast!

Even with the rain, the fun did not stop. Students enjoyed a full day of games, activities, treats, and memories with their friends and staff.

From ladder toss, co****le, axe throwing, volleyball, soccer, basketball, giant tic-tac-toe, giant Connect Four, and golf, to face painting and hair and nail services from the McCaskey Cosmetology Program, there was something for everyone.

Students also enjoyed grilled hot dogs, cotton candy, nachos, sno-cones, and ice cream from Split & Giggles. They climbed the rock wall, raced through obstacle courses from Bounce House Rentals of Lancaster, and ended the day with one of the biggest highlights — the water station! Students had a great time with water balloons, water blasters, and the Splash Tower.

A huge thank you to our parents, RMS staff, RMS PTO, Riverside Camping Association, VLS Environmental Solutions, Covenant United Methodist Church, Fair Game LLC, Split & Giggles, Bounce House Rentals of Lancaster, and the McCaskey Cosmetology Program for helping make this end-of-year event possible.

Events like this do not happen by accident. They take planning, teamwork, donations, flexibility, and a community that shows up for kids.

Rain or shine, our Raiders made the most of it. 💙💛

Our 6th graders had a great time enjoying Field Day on Tuesday!

Students spent time outside, played together, laughed with friends, enjoyed snacks, and made some final memories as we get closer to the end of the school year.

A big thank you to our 6th grade team, staff, families, and Reynolds Middle School community for helping make the day possible. Events like this give students a chance to celebrate their hard work, build community, and simply enjoy being kids.

Today our 7th graders had the chance to step outside, compete, laugh, and enjoy some well-earned time together during Field Day.

These are the moments that make the end of the year special — students building memories, cheering each other on, and just getting to be kids.

Today, Girl Scouts was in the building getting interest for our Girl Scout Summer Camp! 💚☀️

This free summer opportunity is designed to help our girls build confidence, make new friends, and explore fun activities together.

Students will get to enjoy:

🎨 Arts and crafts
🏃🏽‍♀️ Outdoor games
🤝 Friendship-building activities
🧪 Slime and other creations
🎶 Music and dance
🌟 Leadership and confidence-building experiences

The camp will take place at Reynolds Middle School and is open to current 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on the assigned dates listed on the flyer.

8th Grade Hersheypark Field Trip 🍫💙💛

Our 8th graders had an amazing time celebrating the end of their middle school journey at Hersheypark!

This trip was more than just rides, snacks, and fun. It was a chance for our students to make memories together, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate all the growth, hard work, and resilience they have shown throughout their time at Reynolds Middle School.

A huge thank you to our parents, families, Reynolds Middle School community, staff, chaperones, and PTO for helping make this experience possible. Field trips like this take planning, support, funding, flexibility, and teamwork — and we are grateful for everyone who helped bring it together.

To our 8th graders: we are proud of you. Keep growing, keep leading, and keep representing RMS with pride as you get ready for your next chapter.

📈 6th Grade STAR Growth Celebration 🍦🎉

We wrapped up our STAR Growth celebrations, and we could not be prouder of what our 6th graders accomplished this year.

From STAR Window 1 to Window 4, our students made real academic gains:

✅ +7% in Math Proficient/Advanced
✅ +6% in Reading Proficient/Advanced
⬇️ Below Basic decreased by 4% in Math and 3% in Reading

That kind of growth does not happen by accident.

It happens when students keep showing up, keep trying, and keep pushing themselves. It also happens when teachers stay focused—using data, adjusting instruction, setting goals, and reminding students that growth is possible.

To celebrate, our 6th grade team treated students and staff to popsicles and ice cream, then ended the celebration with time outside to play, laugh, and enjoy the results of their hard work. 🍧🍨☀️

☔🎉 The rain tried… but 8th grade still showed up!

On Thursday, our 8th graders made the most of Field Day with games, laughter, teamwork, and plenty of Raider energy. 💪🏽❤️

The weather may not have fully cooperated, but that didn’t stop our students and staff from creating a fun and memorable end-of-year celebration. 🌧️🏆
