From leading the march from Selma across the Edmund Pettus Bridge to being awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, John Lewis served the people of Georgia and the US with dignity and distinction in our shared pursuit of justice.

By reaching a budget agreement today, we offer Michiganders some stability in a time of uncertainty - but there’s still more to be done. To prevent the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic from being felt for generations to come, Congress must allow CARES Act funding to be used to meet the individual needs of our state, so that we can move toward a stronger, healthier tomorrow.

Many independent retailers are family-owned, many depend on seasonally-driven business, many rent the space in which they do business; and although the definition of “small business” includes any business with fewer than 250 employees, many independent retailers have fewer than 50. These factors can present a different set of challenges than other small businesses face. We must continue to work to combat the spread COVID-19, while also exploring solutions to give these small businesses the means to weather this crisis financially and the opportunity to get back on their feet when things return to normal.

Clean water is a basic, human right and you shouldn’t have to risk your health and sanitation just because you can’t afford to pay your water bill. Extending protections from water shutoffs until December 31, 2020 will help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep Michiganders healthy.

I'm on line now with the ACLU of Michigan, working for pre-trial reform. #SmartJusticMi
Just watched your interview this morning. You might not of had protesters show up with guns had your capital staff not man-handled those ladies a few weeks back after exercising their right to observe a public meeting! Throwing them to the ground? The one was willfully moving along, and then gets thrown to the ground? Where's the concerned the for citizens roughed up and abused by those staff members?
Rep Greig, you need to get PPE to hospitals and healthcare workers NOW. I know an ER doc treating people wearing a mask we found in my garage and reusing it day after day. This is unacceptable. There are N95 masks, surgical masks, disposable gloves, hand sanitizer sitting in people's basements and garages that they will donate if they know how. There are stores of PPE supplies in school and university labs and in private businesses all being unused RIGHT NOW. Figure out a way to get it to the hospitals. ASAP.
Good morning - I'm a Farmington Hills resident and I'm asking you to please cosponsor Rep. Shannon's bill that would ban declawing cats in Michigan. Declawing is an inhumane and cruel practice and needs to be stopped. Please support this measure to ensure the safety of Michigan's cats. Thank-you!
Thank you, Christine, for attending the 10th District Democratic dinner in Imlay City today. Your support and encouragement are greatly appreciated.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for not playing partisan politics. I totally realize there are issues on both sides of the isle. Thank you for your hard work in coming up with a budget plan that was workable. Not from a Republican or Democrat advantage or bias but for the good of Michigan families. Your act of courage to stand up and do what is right despite of some being mad at you for not siding with wrong intensions and temper-tantrums is truly commendable and appreciated. ~Kerry Lynn
Can you please explain why this law is a good thing? Are there any inaccuracies in Mr. Albom’s writing?
Hi, I am curious - why did you vote no on the bill to lower insurance rates?
I am curious if you agree with Whitmer on this 45 cent tax increase on gas? Seeing alot of negative comments and I agree that their are other options to tax cigarette's, marijuana or just take the road money from the money already put aside for roads! we already have the highest gas prices in the US....
What is your position on road repair funding?
