Our beloved brother Raul was taken from us in a moment that should have brought help—not harm. On July 22, Raul was in crisis, reaching out for support, trying to heal, and striving to make amends. Instead of receiving compassion, he was met with violence. He begged for his life. He pleaded for mercy. And still, he was shot—fatally—by a neighbor. No arrest has been made. No explanation has been given. No justice has been served.

Raul was more than his struggles. He was love, laughter, loyalty, and light. He was trying. He mattered. And he deserves to be remembered with dignity and truth.

We are calling on our community to stand with us. We are raising funds for Raul’s burial and launching a campaign in his name to support addiction recovery and mental health outreach—so no other family has to endure this kind of pain and silence.
