🚒 Fire Response Update 🚒
On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 1320 hours, the Gallinas Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 157 El Llano Road regarding a reported pasture fire.
Upon arrival, units observed heavy smoke and active flames. The Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department, New Mexico State Forestry, and the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office assisted on this incident.
Due to the rapid response of local volunteer firefighters, the fire was quickly contained. The burn area was estimated at approximately six acres.
