NOBLE NATIONAL This is the home for the National Leadership Development Institute it is named NOBLE National out of respect for the founders of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, NOBLE and the diligent work they put into building such a great organization. If you are looking for the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives’ page please visit their website: www.noblenatl.org. I have the honor of being a Life member of NOBLE and most recently served as its interim Executive Director from January 2012 – July 18, 2014. My two and a half years (the title of my upcoming book) shares some of the challenges that I faced, some of the mistakes I and others made with suggestions as to possible solutions, so you, you chapter, committee or board does not make the same mistakes. Finally, feel free to ask questions, I will try my best to answer them or perhaps others can answer them for us. Our goal is to provide resource assistance and training to non profit organizations and associations

While the stereotypical racist in the US might be a southern good ole boy, the reality is that "progressive" Northern and Western states have had a pretty long and terrible history with racism as well. Whether it's a the history of sundown towns that threatened violence against people of color if they were found there after dark, the incredibly racist founding of Oregon, or the long history of redlining to prevent home ownership, it seems like racism certainly wasn't and isn't just a southern phenomenon. Franchesca "Chescaleigh" Ramsey breaks down why racism isn't just a southern problem in this Season 3 throwback episode of MTV Decoded.

3 reasons to separate CEO and chairman positions

When you have BOTH an elected president and an executive director hired by the executive board then best practices dictate that the executive director serves as the CEO of the organization and the president serves as chair of the executive board. This is why NOBLE National needs to amend its Articles of Incorporation and Constitution & Bylaws. The chapters would not be affected unless they hire an executive director.

Separating the high-profile positions of chairman and CEO can help to strengthen the overall integrity of a company.
