WOW… What an incredible day!

The 2026 Capes for Kids 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run was a huge success, and Cherished Hearts is beyond grateful for every sponsor, supporter, donor, volunteer, participant, and community member who helped make this event so special.

From set-up and clean-up to breakfast, runner refuel, race-day logistics, traffic control, family fun, and every detail in between—Capes for Kids 2026 truly took a village.

Yesterday, members of our Cherished Hearts team had the privilege of attending the 2026 I Protect Children Luncheon hosted by Children’s Advocacy Centers of Mississippi in Jackson. 💙

It was an incredible opportunity to stand alongside advocates and supporters from across the state who are committed to protecting children and strengthening families through the work of Children’s Advocacy Centers.

We are especially grateful for the continued support of our community partners and supporters Sarah Hinton, Jerri Lynn Hartness, Judge Wayne Thompson, and Kelly Pugh for joining us at this meaningful event. Your support of Cherished Hearts and the children we serve means so much.
