Community Connections at Pinckney is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our C-Tran graduates and the continued success of Project SEARCH as students take important steps toward independent living, meaningful employment, and lifelong success.
The Community Transition Program (C-Tran) supports young adults ages 18–21 in developing vocational, independent living, and self-advocacy skills as they transition from school to adult life. This year’s graduates demonstrated resilience, growth, and determination throughout their journeys. (The Lawrence Times)
We are especially excited for the students continuing into Project SEARCH, where they will gain hands-on internship experience and career training through community partnerships.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Mallory! For the past 5 years, she has been such a blessing to Community Connections at Pinckney. Yesterday, CC@P celebrated with our annual cookout and crowd-favorite Pie-Your-Teacher-in-the-Face event! 🥧🎉 There were lots of laughs, plenty of whipped cream, and more than a few messy faces by the end of the day. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and helped make it such a memorable event! 😄

At KCDD’s We All Matter (WAM) support group, we provide an environment of empowerment and inclusion, where people with I/DD can meet others who understand their journey.

Our group connects participants with mental health professionals and offers a safe space to share experiences, learn new coping strategies, and access helpful resources.

We love seeing our young adult students out in the community with their families, and last night was no exception.
Our 2nd photo exhibition at Lucia was a fun night of celebrating our students, their creativity, and their artistic vision. Thank you to everyone who came to support them, and thank you to Lucia for hosting us again!
