Jo Ann Groeger is seeking re-election to the Lawrence Board of Education, and to continue supporting students and staff with the best opportunities to learn and work. Jo Ann, since joining the Board in 2010, has maintained that the District address the needs of all students including social and mental health. Additionally, creating an environment where students feel welcome and safe and staff feel appreciated has been one of Jo Ann’s priorities.

As we near Election Day on November 5, consider voting for newcomer Olga Martinez who is seeking election to Lawrence Township School Board. Olga has continuosly demonstrated her commitment to the students and families in Lawrence. Providing the support necessary for non English speaking families to succeed, especially in our schools, has been a passion for Olga. She, as recently as two weeks ago, organized the first ever Lawrence Township Hispanic festival to foster pride in their heritage for these families.

Kevin Van Hise, a life long Lawrence resident and graduate of Lawrence High School, is seeking re-election to continue his commitment to provide our students with the best education opportunity possible. He brings invaluable understanding and knowledge acquired from more than 13 years as a member of the Lawrence Board of Education coupled with his professional experience as an attorney specializing in local government work.

Jo Ann Groeger brings the experience of a 48 year Lawrence resident, a 32 year educator in Lawrence and a 13 year Lawrence School Board member to the Board of Education. Representing the Lawrence School Board Jo Ann presides over the Mercer County School Board Association, sits on the NJ School Board Association Delegates Assembly and Legislative Assembly. Jo Ann believed in the Lawrence School District when it came time to provide an education for her three children, all graduates of Lawrence High School. Her passion to give Lawrence students the best opportunity to succeed still runs deep and she asks for your support on Election Day.

As a 12 year resident of Lawrence Township with two children in Lawrence Public schools, Olga Martinez, has served in numerous capacities to provide support for our many non English speaking parents. As a member of the Slackwood Elementary PTO and Secretary for the Lawrence Middle School PTO, where her children are students, Olga is ever present as a conduit to those parents in need of support.

On November 5 vote Column J to elect Olga Martinez, Jo Ann Groeger and Kevin Van Hise to the Lawrence Township Board of Education.

We will be there to answer questions and demonstrate our commitment to Achieving Academic Success. Join us on the 27th for this Zoom event on LWV of Lawrence Township
