BREAKING: HUGE WIN! Trump abandons his plan to blind our eyes and ears in the ocean after massive public outcry, protecting hundreds of millions of dollars worth of critical scientific research!

Finally, some GOOD news…

The National Science Foundation has reversed it’s decision to dismantle 900 deep-sea monitoring devices, worth $386 million, called the Ocean Observatories Initiative.

These sensors track ocean circulation, marine ecosystems, climate change and extreme weather, producing data freely available to the public and informing more than 500 scientific publications.

The project was slated to run another 15 to 20 years, but Trump, in his infinite idiocy, wanted to pull them all out of the water to ensure that we can’t track the effects of climate change.

“The U.S. National Science Foundation appreciates the concerns raised by the range of stakeholders that have informed us they rely on data from the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI). Effective immediately, NSF will not proceed with further removal or descoping of equipment from the remaining arrays and will continue operations including planned maintenance. While the Endurance Array has been removed from the water, we are developing plans to redeploy the equipment after servicing,” said the NSF in a statement.

This is a huge reminder that our voices MATTER. When we make our fury heard, we can achieve the changes we want to see in policy, even in a Republican administration.

I’m seeing a whole bunch of conservative MAGA-types touting that “Republicans opposed slavery while Democrats supported it” this Juneteenth…I guess to “own the libs” or something (while unironically refusing to recognize Juneteenth & deriding those who do).

Mr. Rosecrants, the former history teacher, would like a word.

Yes, the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln in the 1860s opposed the expansion of slavery, and many Democrats of that era defended it. However, to think Republicans & Democrats today would support the respective Republican & Democrat platforms back then ignores a full 160 years of American history, including Reconstruction (Google it), the Civil Rights Movement (Google it), and other major political shifts that totally reshaped both political parties. They have essentially reversed, as we can see here in Oklahoma (and across the nation) with traditionally Republican areas (the cities) now being heavily Democrat & traditionally Democratic areas (rural areas) now being overwhelmingly Republican.

Now…I’m not saying that all modern-day Republicans support slavery, but some of y’all need a real history lesson…and it shows!!

We won the Democratic nomination for Governor tonight — and it wasn’t close. We won by the largest margin of any Democrat in the past 20 years. Oklahomans across this state are done with politicians who buy elections, pander to Washington, side with big corporations, and fight over extremes while everyday Oklahomans struggle to make ends meet. Tonight proved it.

BREAKING: LOSER! Trump orders federal workers taking down his name off the Kennedy Center to put up a CURTAIN so that nobody can see his name being removed!

This is the most pathetic thing he’s ever done…

Onlookers were mystified when the workers ordered to remove Donald Trump’s name from the Kennedy Center took hours to build a huge scaffolding when the job could have been easily accomplished with a cherry-picker or two – until they stretched a long curtain around it to cover up what they were doing.

Then it became laughably clear that Trump is such an insecure whiny baby that he didn’t want to watch his name being taken off the wall – or for anyone else to see.

But of course, as with everything Trump does, this backfired in hilarious fashion.

He might as well have put a big sign up saying "GEE, I WONDER WHAT’S GOING ON BEHIND THIS CURTAIN" as tongues began to wag and the pictures went viral on social media.

For all his efforts to hide his humiliation, he ensured that it would be the number one thing that people talked about today.

He is so beyond pathetic that it’s hard to put into words.

BREAKING: Trump’s “Great American State Fair” COLLAPSES as six states refuse to participate!

Donald Trump’s scheme to hijack America's 250th anniversary celebration into a MAGA love-fest is turning into a humiliating flop, as multiple states are outright refusing to join his partisan spectacle.

Officials from Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Oregon have all told reporters they will not send official delegations to the Great American State Fair, which kicks off June 25 on the National Mall.

At least two more states – Pennsylvania and Washington – remain on the fence just two weeks out.

This comes after a giant wave of musicians already pulled out of the concert performances, leaving Trump’s big birthday bash for America looking increasingly lonely and desperate, populated only by Z-list celebrities.

It wasn't supposed to be like. Congress initially authorized the American 250 committee at a budget of $150 million. Soon after, Trump created a Task Force by executive order that commandeered the project with the Freedom 250 committee as a "parallel" partnership he directly controls.

Freedom 250 poached money away from the America 250 account, before turning on other agencies like the Department of Interior. For the record, America 250 is currently $100 million in the red.

Trump’s minions have taken over high-profile spectacles like the UFC fight and the fair while the original congressional commission has been largely sidelined, and, as we noted, bankrupted.

Freedom 250 has been rightly accused of politicizing and commercializing the nation’s milestone anniversary, with the obvious lowbrow focus on tacky spectacle and MAGA branding.
Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey had this to say about the whole affair:

“This guy finds a way to try to get money into his own pocket any which way. It’s just ridiculous.”

Even some red states are quietly dragging their feet, wary of the obvious MAGA politicization and high costs involved for them.

States are voting with their feet, and the “Great American State Fair” is rapidly becoming the “Meh American State Fair,” and organizers don’t seem to give damn except for the parts Trump personally cares about.

The more Trump tries to force his brand onto everything, the more people push back. Even for the country's 250th anniversary.

America isn’t buying what that jerk is selling.

I can’t with the California (really can’t stand ANY) election conspiracies y’all!

First off, each state is in control of their own elections, and they vary. Think local control for ALL elections, be they municipal on up to federal. Also, if y’all know me at all, you know I love me a map. LA country has a higher population of folks (almost 10 million!!) than there are people in some states, including here in Oklahoma (just over 4 million). Think about that! 🤯 Add to this that Cali also counts mail ballots postmarked by Election Day that could arrive up to a week later, verifies signatures, allows registered voters to fix ballot issues, processes provisional ballots, and conducts post-election audits BEFORE certifying results, and I think you can see that state of California (and other states) prioritize counting every valid ballot over getting a final result on election night.

Hope this helps, & I also hope & pray that any elected official who supports these dangerous conspiracy theories taps into their God-given critical thinking skills & debunks all of them (lying is still a sin, last I checked)…for the good of the Republic!!
