🇺🇸 Please remember to get your primary ballots returned by Tuesday.
This primary election is so very important to Davis County and our community.
🇺🇸 Stewart E. Barlow HD 17
🇺🇸 Gov. Spencer J. Cox
🇺🇸 Cox for Governor
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
This election season has been one of the most competitive in years. Many good people are running. I personally have supported individuals openly but have drawn the line on telling people whom they should vote for. Our personal decisions on what box to check is one of those very special privileges we have as Americans. I get many calls about out who would I am supporting and I try to give the facts as I know them and let you decide. Listed below are offices that I am getting the most inquiries on. I have not had any candidate ask me to do this and this is on my dime and not through a campaign. (By the way, this is the last of my campaign letterhead and not my official, Davis County letterhead!)
Governor
Spencer J. Cox and Deidra Henderson have been more involved in Davis County and our local communities than any Governor I have worked with in my close to 25 years of service in local government. Their agenda and accomplishments are what’s best for the state of Utah.
State Auditor
Ricky Hatch, who presently is the Weber County Auditor, is by far the most qualified individual for this very important position in State Government. His education background (CPA), work experience at Weber County, and leadership experience, plus statewide respect, set him apart from the other candidate.
Legislative 16 (area I live in)
Daniela Harding for House District 16.
Daniela Kolb Harding has shown me over the years her ability to listen, learn, and not be afraid to make a decision that is best for all. I took a chance on this lady when I appointed her to the Planning Commission when I was the Mayor of Layton. When she decided to step down and run for the Davis County Republican Party Chair I knew she would be missed but also realized that her leadership skills could help turn the party around in Davis County. What she did was amazing and she has been missed in that role. Legislative 16 has always been an area of strong, open minded leadership with strong Republican values. My experience with Daneila Harding is that she will bring these traits to District 16 that we so desperately need.
Davis County Treasurer
Matt Brady is the up and coming leader we need in this very important role at the county. He came to work a few years ago in the Treasurer’s office, working under our retiring Treasurer Mark Altom. With his educational background, past work experience, and work ethic, he very quickly moved up to Deputy Treasurer. Matt has prepared himself for this position.
These are four positions I get the most inquiries on and these are a few of the reasons I will be casting my vote for them. Please research all before you cast your vote.
We are blessed to live in a country that allows us this right to choose our leaders.
If you have any questions please let me know.
Sincerely,
Bob Stevenson
