It's getting slippery out there!
Ice has started forming on the bridge at FM 646 and I-45. As temperatures continue to drop this evening and into the morning, more ice is expected. Stay off the roadways!

A MESSAGE FROM LEAGUE CITY MAYOR NICK LONG
League City staff will be working around the clock over the next few days to ensure the safety of our City and that City services function seamlessly. This includes police, fire, EMS, water, wastewater, and traffic. Make sure to protect your home, family, and pets from the freezing cold temperatures.
CITY WEATHER PREPARATIONS
The City of League City has activated our Emergency Operations Center.
City staff and Mayor Nick Long are there closely monitoring the latest from the US National Weather Service Houston-Galveston Texas.

PREP YOUR HOME FOR FREEZING TEMPERATURES ❄️
Time is running out for you to insulate your pipes and prepare your home before freezing temperatures arrive as early as tonight, with the coldest temps impacting our area Monday through Wednesday.

PREPARING FOR ICY ROADS
Public Works has installed a sand/salt spreader on one of the City’s dump trucks. Crews will distribute the mixture in the event our roadways become icy and dangerous to drive. They are also in close communications with TxDOT should weather conditions arise that require the agency to distribute sand/salt on TxDOT roadways that run through our City.
