oyees, 2 Crime Scene Investigators, 1 Animal Control Officer and 1 Civil Deputy.

During the week of June 15 - 19, twelve teens from around Boone County attended and graduated from the 2026 Boone County Sheriff's Office Teen Academy. The Teen Academy was organized by Boone County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officers.

The teens gained knowledge of law enforcement and other public safety careers through the discussion and participation in the following topics: Defensive Tactics & Handcuffing; Ethics; Virtual Reality Fi****ms Simulator; Investigations, K-9 Blood Hound & K-9 Narcotics; Military Career (integrity, mental toughness, team building); Nutrition & Fitness; Obstacle Course; Taser; Tours of the Ern Hudson Justice Center, Communication Center, and Animal Control; and Traffic Stops.

The Teen Academy would like to thank the following organizations for their generous donations for making the 2026 Teen Academy a Success!

Our staff chose option two. 😅

To celebrate the release of Toy Story 5, members of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the 2026 Teen Academy put their toy-acting skills to the test. The results? Questionable. The commitment? Outstanding.

No one was harmed during the making of this video, although a few may still be lying on the floor waiting for someone to say the coast is clear.
