I was grateful for the opportunity to meet with Vicki Parks and the team at Spring View Hospital to discuss the state of healthcare in our communities. They are doing a tremendous job providing care for Marion County and the surrounding region, and we are fortunate to have such a strong community hospital.

Improving the health of our communities is a team effort, and strong partners like our local hospital are essential as we work to expand access, support providers, and ensure high-quality care for Kentucky families.

Community Connection at Spring View 🏥

We were honored to welcome Ben Mudd, Republican candidate for Kentucky’s 14th District State Senate seat, to Spring View Hospital! During his visit, Ben spent time with our CEO, Vicki Parks, discussing the real-life challenges and opportunities shaping healthcare right here in our community.

At Spring View Hospital, we believe strong connections lead to stronger care. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective on rural healthcare and to have meaningful conversations about improving access, enhancing quality, and supporting the health of our neighbors.

Together, we’re building a healthier future for Marion County and beyond. 💙

We had a packed house at Sportsman’s Lake in LaRue County last week. It was great to spend time with so many hardworking people who care deeply about the future of our district.

Kentuckians know government is spending too much and healthcare costs are out of control. In Frankfort, I’ll fight to cut wasteful spending and bring common-sense reforms that lower healthcare costs for families, farmers, and small businesses.

People here aren’t looking for an influencer, they’re looking for someone with real experience who will show up and do the work.

I’m grateful for the support and the great conversations.

Brittany and I are saddened to learn that one of the six Americans killed in Operation Epic Fury was Technical Sergeant Ashley Pruitt of Bardstown, Kentucky.

Please join us in praying for Ashley’s family and all those grieving this loss. Our Commonwealth will never forget her service and sacrifice.

On Saturday, Brittany and I had the opportunity to attend the University of Kentucky College Republicans Dinner and it was an outstanding evening.

Congratulations to Nathan Smith on a tremendous event. Starting the UK College Republicans from the ground up is no small task, and the fact that he and his board have been working on this dinner for over a year speaks to their commitment and leadership.

It’s encouraging to see young leaders stepping up, getting involved, and taking ownership of the political process. Well done to Nathan and the entire team.

Thank you to the LaRue County Republican Party for hosting a great event today. I appreciated the opportunity to visit with so many engaged citizens and community leaders.

We had the pleasure of engaging with all 7 Republican candidates for the 14th District Senate seat.
This is a strong slate of candidates that all have unique strengths and backgrounds that they bring to the table.
Thank you to those from the community who took the time to discuss their key issues with each candidate.
We hope to see you on 2/21 at the public library for our Sheriff & Jailer Round Table event!

This week, I had the pleasure of attending the annual Leadership Kentucky Alumni Luncheon in Lexington. It was wonderful to reunite with the Class of 2024 and connect with leaders from across the Commonwealth who are doing meaningful work in their communities.

This year was especially meaningful as Leadership Kentucky welcomed its new Board Chair, Melissa Lee Knight of Lebanon. When my mentors encouraged me to apply for the program, Melissa was one of the first to offer her support and encouragement. It felt truly full circle to see her now leading such an impactful organization.

Leadership Kentucky is a one-of-a-kind experience—three days a month, across six stops throughout our state—meeting community leaders and learning firsthand about the work happening in every corner of Kentucky. We saw the good, the bad, and the challenges that still exist, along with the real progress being made. It’s hard to put the experience into words, but it’s one I will carry with me forever. As they say, you never graduate from Leadership Kentucky.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program. It strengthened my understanding of the issues facing our Commonwealth and reinforced my belief that when we work together, we can find real solutions and build a stronger Kentucky for the future.
