To Lee’s Summit residents - If the Prop C waiver is approved, it will be a permanent tax. This is not a one-time tax.

Proposition C, if approved, will waive a required property tax rollback and generate approximately $4 million in additional annual revenue for the Lee's Summit district.

A YES vote will initiate a waiver and allow the district the full benefit of the Prop C sales tax - a one-cent statewide sales tax distributed to the school districts on a per pupil basis. The waiver will INCREASE property taxes approximately $24 per $100,000 assessed property value which will generate roughly $4 million in additional annual revenue for the district.

A NO vote on the waiver will allow the roll back and result in NO additional taxes.

Just a few quick reminders regarding the General Municipal Election on April 7th:

- March 11th is the last day to register to vote
- March 24th is the first day for no excuse absentee voting
- March 25th is the last day absentee request can be accepted
- If you have moved, you'll need to re-register!
