Vasofsky was reported missing on Sunday and was last seen by his family leaving their residence on Center Brook Square Saturday evening.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to help locate 24-year-old Connor M. Vasofsky of Sterling.

Connor was reported missing on Sunday and was last seen by his family leaving their residence on Center Brook Square Saturday evening. He is described as being 5’9” tall, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. There is concern for his well-being due to physical and/or health concerns.

Anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective M. Grimsley of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021.

Last week I was honored to be part of the 16th graduating class of the Virginia Certified County Supervisors’ Program during Virginia Association of Counties’ 87th Annual Conference. The 18-month program included classes about Virginia Law as it pertains to County Board authority, planning & zoning, budget & finance, Virginia land use law, community engagement, and leadership & team building. An added benefit was meeting and befriending colleagues from across the state, some of whom are pictured below.

The Virginia Department of Health has authorized booster doses of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to all adults, as recommended by the (CDC) and authorized by the FDA. We now have booster recommendations for all three available COVID-19 vaccines in the United States.

Loudoun County is offering appointments for boosters at the Dulles Town Center clinic. Note that a limited number of booster appointments are available through November. To schedule an appointment visit: loudoun.gov/covid19vaccine or call 703-737-8300 during normal business hours.

This past Thursday we hosted our second annual Algonkian's Got Talent! We had 15 participants competing in the categories of solo vocals, solo instruments, and group musical acts! Special thanks to Northern Virginia Community College Loudoun Campus for hosting, all of the parents, and of course our wonderful performers! This years winners are as follows:

The next Loudoun County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection event is scheduled for Saturday, November 20, 2021, 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at Claude Moore Park, 46150 Loudoun Park Lane, Sterling. Loudoun residents are welcome to bring HHW from their homes to the event, free of charge.

Typical HHW includes: fluorescent light bulbs, dry-cell batteries (alkaline, Ni-Cad, Lithium, rechargeable, etc, but no automobile batteries), oil-based paints and stains, varnish, paint thinner, mineral spirits, metal polish, rust remover, wood st*****rs and preservatives, furniture polish, waxes, sealants and solvents, bleach, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, fertilizer, pool chemicals, muriatic acid, sulfuric acid, ammonia, mercury, mercury thermometers and thermostats, gasoline, expired fuel, auto cleaners and flushes, brake and transmission fluid, windshield washer fluid, fire extinguishers, moth balls, flea and tick products, photographic chemicals and other hobby chemicals.

The Loudoun County Hypothermia Shelter opens today for single adults aged 18 and older in the community who are experiencing a housing crisis resulting in homelessness.

The shelter, which provides a warm indoor sleeping environment, meals and shower facilities, will be open from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., seven nights a week through March 31, 2022. The shelter also provides information on other community resources, such as food, medical care and employment opportunities.
