Good insight about vanpooling. Have a read.

Good insight about vanpooling. Have a read.

We asked one of our #Vanpool groups (8 people) a few questions to get a better insight into how they formed and why.

Did they know each other before riding together?
- Most of them did. There were a few newcomers due to similar commute patterns.

How long have they been riding together?
- Most have been riding together ranging from 2-6 years

Is there communication among riders during the commute?
- Yes, typically more at the start and end of the trip

Do you take turns driving?
- Not usually, we agreed to one primary driver with back-ups when needed.

What have you learned through your vanpool #commute?
- There’s a lot of traffic that changes on a daily basis, we have different routes to take depending on the need for change or unforeseen circumstances. You do save money and time. An important factor is that each rider has to be considered. And (our favorite response) “#Vanpooling is awesome”!

A great incentive to start carpooling. A little extra "cash" just for sharing the ride.
