We have a right to privacy. Period. Justice Brandeis wrote that our founders conferred on us “the right be let alone – the most comprehensive of rights, and the right most value by civilized men.” Some say we must sacrifice that right for safety. I don’t buy it. Safety does not trump liberty. Cameras that track your vehicle's every movement are an affront to privacy. It’s government overreach by the very people who claim to believe in limited government. The Institute for Justice has identified more than 100 incidents of ALPR (Automated license plate readers) abuse, including romantic stalking, wrongful arrests, and wrongful stops. Flock has more than 5,000 contracts with law enforcement agencies across the United States. To track Americans. It’s time to stop it. No compromise. No balancing. We can never make the world 100% safe and we should not sacrifice our precious privacy in a futile attempt to do so. I fear Big Brother more than any criminal.

Antitrust law may not seem sexy, but enforcing and strengthening our antitrust laws would increase competition and reduce prices for Nebraska’s farmers, ranchers, and families. As an independent I don’t take money from donors hostile to our antitrust laws. Let’s make the free market for Nebraska by restoring real competition.

George Washington wrote that political parties become "potent engines" used by cunning and ambitious people to "subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government.” The race for the U.S. House in Nebraska’s Third District is one of only a few in America where a credible independent successfully petitioned onto the ballot and will face opponents from both parties. This year Third District voters can reject both parties and send a true independent to Washington. Some pundits believe control of the House of Representatives will change this year. In that scenario, Adrian's vote would be worthless. Ms. Stille, if she were to somehow win election in a district where the last Democrat got 19.6% of the vote, would do whatever Hakeem Jeffries tells her to do. But there's another choice in the Third District. An independent veteran with a degree in agricultural law who chose to make the Sandhills his home. We don’t take corporate money. We don’t have big donors. Our money doesn’t come from companies that rely on data centers. We don’t have the resources of the two parties. That’s why we used Grand Island’s Flock cameras to advertise. Our volunteers gathered 3,680 signatures from 54 counties. This year Nebraska’s Third District will have a real choice. They can reject the two-party system and send an independent karate instructor to Washington. I’ll fight the tech billionaires who say we must sacrifice our privacy while they get richer and consume more of our resources.
