STARBASE Kansas City To improve student comprehension in math, engineering, science and technology. Kansas STARBASE is the U.S.

Department of Defense’s award winning science, technology, engineering and math youth program. The program is located in five Kansas cities: Wichita, Topeka, Salina, Kansas City and Manhattan. It has worked with over 52,000 Kansas’ children either directly or indirectly by improving their interest in the areas of math, engineering, science or technology as well as instilling a sense of pride and p

ersonal accomplishment. It is those traits by which STARBASE will increase the number of students going into math, engineering, science and technology areas once they have completed their secondary education.

Resurrection Catholic School charged through Day 2 at STARBASE with energy and curiosity.

Students dove into their first CAD experience, completing an Onshape scavenger hunt, cracked a mystery using chromatography, coded Sphero robots for Robo Putt Putt, and applied measurement skills to launch Nerf rockets.

Resurrection Catholic School launched into Day 1 at STARBASE with excitement for STEAM! 🚀

Students explored chemistry with Happy Atoms, put Newton’s Laws to work by launching Sir Eggbert, and designed custom name tags in CorelDRAW for laser engraving. A fun, hands-on start to a week of science and discovery!

Xavier and Holy Cross wrapped up their STARBASE experience with curiosity, teamwork, and hands-on discovery.

Day 3 with Holy Cross and Xavier students at STARBASE was packed with energy!

Students animated and personalized a gyrosphere with CAD, experimented with circuits using Little Bits, and built and launched rockets.

Lindbergh & Eugene Ware wrapped up an action-packed Day 5 at STARBASE! 🚀

Students zoomed through flight simulations and VR adventures, splashed into density experiments to see which cubes floated or sank, programmed SPIKE robots to conquer a Mars mission, and watched Bernoulli’s principle spring to life.
