Hey, let’s catch-up!
The Southern Maryland Young Republicans have been busy. We’ve attended conventions, spoken at candidate fundraisers, walked in the Veteran’s day parade, debated on campus, and made lots of memories! Expect us to hit the ground running in January.

TPUSA @ SMCM!

I am pleased to share with you that, thanks to the continued efforts of the Southern Maryland Young Republicans, St. Mary’s College of Maryland now has a nationally affiliated Turning Point USA Chapter! The group now has an executive board and roughly a dozen passionate members trying to change the culture on Campus for the better.

We’ll be out Tuesday and Thursday afternoons the next couple weeks debating students at SMCM and building the TPUSA chapter on campus! Just ordered this sign, what should we fill in the blank with?

I am thankful for the leadership of the Maryland Young Republicans, in this years national convention Maryland voted unanimously against Restore YR, and for good reason. These people and their rhetoric have no home in our organization.

We are appalled by the vile and inexcusable language revealed in the Politico article published today. Such behavior is disgraceful, unbecoming of any Republican, and stands in direct opposition to the values our movement represents. Those involved must immediately resign from all positions within their state and local Young Republican organizations. We must hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, respect, and professionalism.

Weekend wrap-up!

SOMDYR was out in Richmond taking part in the YR National deployment to canvas for Winsome for Governor. Over 50 young people from across the country, including 8 from MD came out to support her and downballot candidates in their election this November. We’ll be taking a trip up to New Jersey on the 24th to support Jack Ciattarelli for Governor! DM if you’re interested in joining us.

Weekend wrap-up!

The Southern Maryland Young Republicans were out Friday and Saturday at the Calvert County Fair. We met and spoke with youth in Calvert County and are continuing to work hard with TPUSA to get chapters started across Southern Maryland. More on our efforts to come soon. We’ll be at the Calvert & Charles Central Committee this week, hope to see you there!

We had an amazing time at the St. Mary's Republican Club town hall last night with guest speakers Tom Jarboe for St. Mary's County and Delegate Todd B. Morgan - District 29C. We also heard from State's Attorney Jaymi Sterling. Thank you to the Republican Club for hosting this great event!

Weekend wrap-up!

The Southern Maryland Young Republicans were out at the St. Mary’s County Fair. We had an amazing time speaking with young adults from across the county about important issues, Charlie Kirk, and our shared future in Southern Maryland. We took a trip up to Severna Park to hear from Xi Van Fleet and her new book, Mao’s America. She’s a riot and was definitely worth the trip to hear from her. Thanks John Myrick for making the trip down to St. Mary’s! Looking forward to seeing you all at the Charlie Kirk vigil on Tuesday, where our chair will be speaking, and our next event on Wednesday at the Sandgates Inn.

CHARLIE KIRK VIGILS IN SOUTHERN MD

Charlie gave a voice to a generation of young conservatives and inspired countless students to take up the cause of freedom, faith, and limited government. His vision was simple yet powerful: build strong chapters in schools and colleges where young leaders could stand boldly and shape the future of our movement.

In Southern Maryland, we will gather as a community to honor Charlie’s life and carry forward his mission. Vigils are being organized in each of our three counties, and students are already stepping up to form new Turning Point USA chapters in his memory.

— Honoring Charlie’s legacy through prayer and remembrance.

Charlie’s greatest legacy was his belief in empowering students to lead. To continue that mission here in Southern Maryland, we are working to launch Turning Point USA chapters in local high schools and colleges across Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties.
