Fair Week has always been one of my favorite weeks here at home in Delaware County.

I always enjoy this week and the chance to connect with so many longtime friends and familiar faces. Supporting our local 4-H youth and enjoying one of Delaware County’s greatest traditions, the Little Brown Jug, makes it even more special.

It’s a week that reminds me why I’m so proud to call Delaware County home.

I’m honored to have the support of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees and respected education leaders like Mark Raiff, retired superintendent of Olentangy Local Schools.

I recently enjoyed a Chambers After Hours event hosted by Consolidated Cooperative at its Mount Gilead office.

Members of the Delaware Area, Sunbury/Big Walnut Area, and Morrow County chambers received a behind the scenes tour of the Central Ohio Lineworker Training facility (C**T).

It was a valuable learning experience to meet the dedicated professionals who train Ohio’s lineworkers to safely keep our communities powered.

Thank you to the C**T instructors for the tour. I also enjoyed visiting with State Representative Brian Lorenz for Ohio, the DACC superintendent, and many community and business leaders!

Twenty-five years ago, our nation changed forever.

Today, communities across Ohio remember the lives lost, honor the heroes who ran toward danger, and reflect on how Americans came together as one.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember Charlie Kirk.

Just two weeks before his tragic passing, Charlie was right here in Delaware County at our Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner, spending time with so many of our local patriots. We had no idea how precious that evening would become just days later.

We will always be grateful that Charlie came to Delaware County, shared his energy and his message with us, and had the opportunity to meet so many of the people who make our conservative movement strong.

One year later, we remember Charlie, we pray for his family, and we remain grateful for the time we were fortunate enough to share with him.

His voice may be gone, but his impact lives on. 🇺🇸
