Summer on-peak hours are in effect from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and small changes can make a big difference on your monthly bill.

Here are a few easy ways to save during on-peak hours:

Avoid heating water during on-peak times
Program your thermostat to pre-cool home before on-peak hours
Run laundry before or after on-peak hours
Avoid using multiple large appliances at the same time

Our rate structure puts you in control. By shifting energy use outside of on-peak hours, you can help lower your monthly energy costs while reducing demand on the electric grid.

As we spend more time outdoors working in the yard, climbing ladders, flying drones, or just enjoying the sunshine it’s important to stay aware of power lines around you.

A few simple reminders to keep your outdoor time safe:

🌳 Don’t trim trees near power lines, leave that to trained crews
🪜 Keep ladders, poles, and tools far from overhead lines
🛶 Be mindful of power lines near lakes, docks, and boats
🪁 Fly kites and drones in open areas, away from power lines
🚜 Watch for lines when using farm or landscaping equipment

Power lines may be part of the background, but they should never be out of mind.
Always assume they’re energized and dangerous.

Enjoy the outdoors. Just don’t forget to look up. 👀
