Liberty High School Interact

Liberty High School Interact Clubs, which meet at least twice a month, are sponsored by local Rotary clubs.

Interact is a service club for youth ages 12 to 18 who want to connect with other young people and have fun while serving their communities and learning about the world.

The Liberty Interact will be hosting a book drive until March 27th. Please drop off any book donations to the designated box in the high school main office or in room 313 (Mr. Hart’s room). All books in good condition are accepted and will be donated to the Literacy Volunteers in Monticello. We are also collecting donations in cash, checks (made out to Liberty Interact), and using the Liberty Interact QR code, which will be donated to the Books For Kids Foundation in New York. Any donation in the form of money should be given to Mr. Hart. Please email [email protected] or [email protected] if you have any questions. Thank you for your support!

We received our first Trex bench (located in the main lobby) on Wednesday, December 1, 2021! We successfully collected and sorted 500lbs of plastic which was turned into a bench. Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve our goal! We will continue to collect and sort plastic, earning more benches for our community and working to keep our environment clean!

A huge thanks to Barbi Neumann-Marty for facilitating 60+ pairs of shoes coming to LCSD for distribution to our students! She partnered with Sole Purpose, an organization focused on collecting, refurbishing, and donating new and gently used men’s, women’s, and children’s sneakers and socks. We are excited to help and to receive more in early 2021! 🥳🥳

My name is Melana Quick-Lepke and I am a Junior at Liberty High School. I am the secretary for GSA, the treasurer for Interact, a member of FBLA, TSTT, pep band, Girl Scouts, and NHS. I love learning, volunteering, traveling, and reading. I also love doing activities such as biking, kayaking, and tennis. My favorite foods include shrimp, brussel sprouts, broccoli casserole, and chicken. 🚴🏼‍♀️🛶🎾🍤

Fun facts about me: My best friend is my Mama. I have traveled throughout Europe and have also visited Russia. I have been to Spain, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Finland, etc. I collect handmade dolls everywhere I go. 💶🪆🌍

Hi, my name is Wendy Cando and I am a junior at Liberty High School. I am Secretary of the Interact Club and Allusions. I am also a member of Student Council, GSA and Photo Club! Something I enjoy doing is driving, going for runs, and listening to music. My favorite food is pasta and sushi :). 🚙🏃🏽‍♀️🎵🍝🍱

Some fun facts about me is that I used to play guitar and piano. I’ve also been to Ecuador for a year and traveled to many places there. Before covid, you could never find me in my house because I would always have a concert to be in 😂. Something random about is that I have a big BIG phobia of spiders 😬. 🎸🎹
