Chester The LFD Comfort Dog

Chester is a Springer Spaniel employed at the Libertyville Fire Department. His job is to support our firefighters and people who experience a fire loss.

As his training progresses, his services will be available upon request by community organizations. This is an official page of the Village of Libertyville. Had a fun time visiting the Northern Illinois Fire Inspectors Association golf outing. Happy to provide some on course therapy after some of those shots out there. Looked like everyone had a good time!

Abbott and Abbvie demonstrated a commitment to workplace safety with a great Safety Stand-Down Event. I met a lot of nice people, saw a demonstration from our LFD technical rescue team, and even got a treat or two. Thanks for letting me visit!

Had a great time at the Tech Campus Expo! Made some new friends and saw a couple of my best buddies: and ! The tech campus is a great place to get started on an exciting career in fire, EMS or police service. You might even get to work with one of us someday!

This month’s EMS continuing education was on advanced airways. I was the monitor guy. I needed my team and their opposable thumbs to place the tube. Good work everyone.
