Chief Perry sent us this today as she attends the National Fire Academy. Today, we remember the fallen heroes that served in our military. Let today not just be a day celebrating being off work, but also in remembrance of those that served our country heroically and diligently. Thank you to all of our active members currently protecting our great nation❤️🇺🇸

🚨Attention Limon Residents🚨

There is a controlled burn that is active. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and us are also aware if this. Please be advised that the smoke has been moving directions, there is potential for it to look like there are other fires. If you come across active flames, please call 911.

🚨Structure Fire Response🚨

At approximately 1:33Pm Limon Fire was paged mutual aid along with and and for a structure fire, upon arrival Lincoln County 181 advised a outbuilding fully involved spreading to a barn. With quick and swift actions by Genoa fire and Hugo fire the fire was contained prior to our arrival, Limon Fire assisted with water operations and overhaul before clearing scene. Just another amazing reminder that volunteerism is just neighbors helping neighbors!

Limon Fire has approved the burning of the tree pile, if you see smoke or flames outside south Limon we have approved this burn. Please only call 911 if you see a new fire, or smoke not pertaining to the tree pile. Please note this pile will more than likely burn for multiple days, and smolder up to a week after start of the burn.
