Active duty-6 years, 1 combat deployment.
Operation Inherent Resolve.
Unit deployed under- 548th combat sustainment, 10th mountain division. Theaters of operation, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq. 2021-2022

Previous units served in- 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. Out of Fort Irwin California.

The Board behind the mission.

* The CIVC organization was started by founder, Joe Schaler in December 2018.
* The original mission was to provide Central Illinois veterans with the tools and support systems needed to obtain permanent, sustainable housing, particularly veterans experiencing homelessness.
* Joe was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He died May 29, 2024.
* The CIVC organization and its many volunteers have provided 9 homes in Logan County since its inception.
