ALL of WHS KSHSAA activities and athletics earned Distinguished Scholastic Achievement for their 2025-2026 season/school year, respectively.
Each activity and athletic team was awarded a certificate to represent that their group collectively achieved a GPA of 3.25 and higher.

It was a fantastic trip to NCFL Grand Nationals. We appreciate our Wamego Drama Boosters and other donors for making it possible for our students to travel. We are grateful to be in a school district that allows us to take on these challenges. This level of competition makes our students better, but the opportunity to learn to travel and see life through a different lens is the real gift.
Thanks for investing in our students!

Big BREAK A LEG to this one today. Hollie is the first Wamego student in at least the last 25 years to break into octofinals 2 years in a row.
She is also one 4 students to compete in Nationals 4 years in a row. (We would have had 6 students with that distinction, but 2 were interrupted in 2020.)
We are so proud of her!

We’re boarded and ready to head to Washington DC. We have plans to enjoy the National Gallery of Art and The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History this afternoon.
