With so many exciting things happening at our libraries, this is a great time to get involved and help shape the future of library service in Lincoln.

The finalists are in!

After months of reading and discussion, the Top Three titles for One Book One Lincoln 2026 have officially been announced:

“Culpability” by Bruce Holsinger
“The Names” by Florence Knapp
“There Are Rivers in the Sky” by Elif Shafak

“Once again, our selection committee has chosen three incredible books that offer opportunities for discussion and connection. One Book One Lincoln is about creating shared experiences through reading, and we’re excited to see which title resonates most with readers across Lincoln.” -Ryan Wieber, Lincoln City Libraries Director.

Lincoln City Libraries will be closed Sunday, May 24, and Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day holiday.

Each Friday, we’ve been sharing two of this year’s One Book One Lincoln, Top Ten finalists (in no particular order).

On Memorial Day, we’ll reveal the Top Three books the community will vote on to become the 2026 selection.

Attention: Bennett Martin Public Library will open at 2 p.m. instead of 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, due to water service work on 14th Street.

All morning programs scheduled for May 21 are canceled.

The library will close at its normal time of 8 p.m.

The library is scheduled to resume normal operating hours on Friday, May 22.
