Hello All Central Barkers!

Just wanted to write to reassure you that we are not walking away from our plans to give Lincoln it's first dog park. We requested that the proposal as it was be removed from the agenda of the last meeting to get our ducks in a row!

We thank you all for your continued support and we look forward to all of our fur friends playing together at Central Bark at City Center in the VERY near future!

Thank you all and have a Happy Howliday!

FRIENDS!

The Courier has posted an article on their page today that is very one sided and provides a lot of misinformation.

To clarify, we have never asked the City of Lincoln for any money to make Central Bark a reality. All monies that have been discussed on the city's end have been volunteered by the city.

We plan to raise as much funding for this as we can and intend to raise the whole cost through grants and fundraisers if possible. We are open to the city offering funding for this idea, but our plans are not dependent on that support.

The city is already paying to mow and maintain the land. The only increased cost the city would incur if this park were to be built would be utilities and garbage service, which we hope to offset through the membership fees.

If this is something that you care about, and something you'd like to see come to Lincoln, please follow the link below and voice your concerns on the Courier post!

For a more balanced perspective we encourage you to read and post your thoughts on the articles posted by New Herald News and Lincoln Daily News.

We appreciate all of you very much!

Seven weeks ago, an eight-citizen committee went before Lincoln City Council to request that the city build a membership-based dog park on the empty piece
