We’re building something real for families who need it.
ASU is raising funds for the Calming Unit, and we’ve already reached $300 thanks to the support of our community.

MoDo Mochi Donut & Bubble Tea is also joining in with a 10% donation on the creation of The Hope Donut, and we may have another fundraiser night coming soon.

Our first milestone is to reach the $5,000–$7,000 range so we can secure the ambulance. The full project goal is $25,000, and the remaining funds will go toward licensing, equipment, and transforming it into a usable unit for ASU.

Every share, every purchase, and every donation helps move this forward. If you’ve been waiting for the right time to support us, this is it.

Not even halfway through the day and we just doubled again.

We went from $150 to $300.

A few days ago we were at $16.

This is what happens when people come together and believe in something that can truly make a difference.

Every donation, every share, every act of support is helping move us closer to building the Calming Unit for kids who experience the world differently.

We are beyond grateful for every single person who has been part of this so far.

Let’s keep it going.

We just crossed $100.

In less than two days, we went from $16 to $101.

This is what happens when people believe in something early.

Every single donation, every share, every show of support is helping bring the Calming Unit one step closer to becoming a reality for families who need it.

We are still at the very beginning, but this milestone matters.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this so far. You are helping build something that can truly make a difference.

If you have been watching and thinking about getting involved, now is the time.

Yesterday we were at $16.

Before we even had the chance to post and ask how long it might take to double that, someone stepped in and donated $20.

That brings us to $36.

This is how real impact starts. Not with huge numbers at first, but with people who believe in what we are building and choose to be part of it early.

The Calming Unit is something we believe can truly help families navigating sensory overload and overwhelming environments.

To everyone who has supported already, thank you. You are helping build something that matters.

If you have been following along and thinking about it, now is a powerful time to jump in and be part of this from the ground up.

🚨 The beginning of something real 🚨

In just 2 days:12 people have stepped up$16 has been raised

That might not look like much at first.

But this is how something meaningful starts.

Twelve different people saw the vision for the Calming Unit and chose to be part of it. They did not wait. They did not scroll past. They took action.

That means something.

Because the Calming Unit is not just an idea. It comes from real moments where a child is overwhelmed, where everything feels too loud, too chaotic, too much, and there is no immediate way to help them reset safely.

Families face those moments every day.

This is about building something that can actually help in those situations.

Right now, we are at the foundation stage. The people who step in early are the ones who help turn this into something real.

If you have been watching, this is your chance to be part of the beginning.

Even $1 matters. And if you cannot donate, sharing this can make a huge difference.

Let’s keep this moving.

This only aired once on the news… and most people never got to see it.

So I screen recorded it because this matters too much to miss.

We’re trying to bring the Calming Unit to life for kids like Liam. A safe space when the world gets too overwhelming.

And the truth is, this doesn’t take one big donation.

If 25,000 people gave just $1… we hit the goal.

$1.

That’s it.

If you can, be one of the 25,000.If you can’t, sharing this helps just as much.

Let’s get this in front of the people who need to see it.

There are moments you don’t see.

The ones where a child is overwhelmed by the world around them. Lights too bright. Sounds too loud. Everything happening all at once. The moments where it turns into panic, and there is nowhere safe to go.

For families like ours, this is not rare. This is daily life.

That is why we are building something different.

The Calming Unit.

A real, physical space designed to bring peace in the middle of chaos. A place where a child can feel safe, reset, and breathe again when everything becomes too much.

But we cannot do this alone.

Our first goal is $7,000. That gets us the ambulance. That is the first step in turning this vision into something real that can help not just our child, but so many others.

If you have ever wondered how you can make a difference, this is it.

Even $10 matters. Seriously.Because it is not just money. It is one more person saying these kids matter. These families matter.

We live this every day.We are fighting for something better.

And we are asking you to stand with us.

Autism Awareness Month starts in just 3 days—and we’re kicking it off with purpose.

Beginning April 1st, Modo will be featuring the Hope Donut in support of the Calming Unit project through Autism Support Unit (ASU).

This initiative helps fund a sensory-safe solution designed for children who experience overstimulation, providing a space for regulation, safety, and comfort in overwhelming environments.

In this post, you’ll find:
🔹 A QR code to donate directly to the fundraiser
🔹 A direct link to contribute online
🔹 Concept renderings of the Calming Unit (interior & exterior)

We encourage the community to stop in, support the cause, and help spread awareness in a meaningful way.

Important:
For orders over one dozen, please call ahead or place your order online in advance to help ensure availability.

Your support helps turn this vision into a reality for families who need it most.

We’re incredibly excited to share this 💙

This April, MoDo Mochi Donut & Bubble Tea is partnering with us to support something very close to our hearts.

Introducing the “Blue Hope” donut 🍩

A portion of every Blue Hope donut sold in April will go toward helping us bring the Calming Unit to life: a sensory-safe space designed to support children with autism during moments of overwhelm.

This mission is inspired by our son Liam and the journey we’ve walked as a family. Moments of overstimulation are real, and having a safe, calming space can make all the difference.

We’re so grateful to Modo for believing in this and being willing to stand with us in supporting the autism community.

If you’re local, stop by, grab a donut, and be part of something bigger.
