Hey folks! Did you know our fearless leader has written a book in collaboration with the Indonesian charity Orangutans SOS? It's a fun children's adventure set in the Sumatran rainforest designed to teach our little ones about rainforest conservation and wildlife protection!

Sad news this morning that Grantham's own Margaret Thatcher has died. Not everyone agreed with her policies but there is no doubt she put Grantham on the map. RIP Maggie!

I wonder if anyone can help Roy Loxley track down his long-lost Granthamian friend? He has left a post on our wall so if you think you can be of assistance, let him know. We're seeing a lot of rain in Grantham just now, so I'm a little envious of all of you who have flown the nest and are in warmer climes. Hope you are all well!

I see we've broken the 140 member mark, great work everyone! Hello to all of our new Grantham fans, and indeed to those who have been here since the beginning. With a cold May on the way I wonder who will be escaping dull old blighty for somewhere warmer? Not that I'm saying Grantham is dull of course!

Congratulations to Meryl Streep on her Oscar for her portrayal of our most famous export - Margaret Thatcher! If you haven't managed to see The Iron Lady I'd suggest you do so as soon as you can! Great, great film about a Grantham legend

Well we're well into 2012 now Granthamites! Still not seen much snow around, quite disappointing but much better for productivity. The kids are back at school and the grown ups are back at work - Here's wishing everyone a great 2012!
