Martin Edwards & Associates Inc. (MEA) is a licensed security agency in NC. We are looking to hire full and part-time Unarmed Safety and Security Officers ready to work in a professional and customer service-based atmosphere at the North Carolina Department of Transportation in Raleigh and NCDMV Headquarters in Rocky Mount.
Qualifications/Skills include:
- High School graduation or equivalent
- Knowledge of effective verbal and written communication techniques
- Familiarity with report writing
- Ability to interact with all types of personnel and the public.
- Active listening skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient computer skills with a strong comfort level interfacing with various software applications
- Must pass our pre-employment screening process and thorough background check

Preferred Qualifications:
- Military Veteran
- Loss Prevention
- Law Enforcement
- Corrections
- Security
- Fire, EMT or Alarm Response

Duties Include:
- Monitor CCTV’s and other recording/monitoring devices as well as dispatching duties as needed
- Provide assistance and direction to visitors
- Write reports, send emails and keep up with day to day operations
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays

Hourly pay rate starting at $17/hr.
