Pack 10 Cub Scouts are currently collecting for Speranza Animal Rescue in Mechanicsburg. One of our sponsors Heritage Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram has offered to be a collection point for us again this year. Please bring any donations to Heritage on Rt 22 & Mountain Road by Friday January 21st at 5pm. On Saturday January 22nd the Cubs will be taking the donations and delivering them to Speranza.

 Canned wet dog food (Purina or Pedigree
preferred)
 Flea and tick preventatives for dogs 45-88
pounds
 Soft/moist dog treats
 Durable, NON-SQUEAKY toys for large dogs
(no rawhides please)
 Concentrated disinfectant floor cleaner
 Disinfectant cleaning spray and wipes
 Paper towels
 Disposable rubber gloves - size large
 Large (30 gallons or larger) trash bags
 Brooms and dustpans
 Large plastic storage containers with lids
 Bedding - new or used (but clean) blankets,
sheets, comforters, large towels (no washcloths,
hand towels or pillowcases please)

If your family is in need this year, head over to Strites. Happy holidays!

We have 11 trees left on our porch if anyone knows of a family that still does not have a Christmas tree but would like one. I will post when all the trees are gone. The Strites would like to thank all of our great customers for helping us get through a strange and challenging year for everyone. We would also like to thank the most important part of our operation, our employees, for helping us do what we do. Merry Christmas everyone and have a safe and happy holidays.

We’ve been a little quiet so far this year, but that’s not for lack of doing! Pack 10 has been meeting virtually and taking part in some fun activities including our Halloween party and Healthy Cubs meeting. Coming up in 2021 we’re having our virtual movie night and more! Our leaders work very hard to make the best of every situation for our Cubs, and this year (and next) are no different.

This #VeteransDay we’re flashing back to February when Vietnam Veteran Roger Gross came to speak with our Pack and the Cubs gathered donation for USAF. Thank you to all who have served!

Yesterday our cubs were visited by Vietnam veteran, Roger Gross, who talked about how much receiving care packages from home mean to our troops. Thanks to everyone for the great donations, and special thanks to Roger for joining us and Linglestown American Legion Post 272 for donating the postage to send our packages to the 201st Red Horse, USAF!

Coronavirus update: For everyone’s safety we are going to extend the break from scouts. We are going mirror Central Dauphin School District in that as long as the schools are out we will follow suit. At this time we are hoping to still have the Blue and Gold banquet but will keep everyone updated.

Leaders will contact their dens and let them know what to work on. Parents, if you want to work ahead that’s fantastic! Just let your den leader know and we can update scoutbook to give credit for your cub.

Due to Coronavirus we are cancelling all events for the month of March. This includes den and pack meetings. Your den leaders will be in touch with ways you can keep your cubs on track during this time. Anybody who paid for Winter Camp will receive a refund. If you have any questions you can send us a PM or refer to your den leader.

In the meantime, enjoy the time with your families and let’s focus on each other.
