Today, we had a great turnout as the Pulaski County Tanker Task Force trained in the North Pulaski Fire District.

Over the course of just a little more than two hours, crews successfully moved more than 50,000 gallons of water. Training like this gives our departments the opportunity to work together, strengthen communication, and improve our ability to establish and maintain a reliable water supply in areas where hydrants may not be available.

But we have to admit… the firefighters weren’t exactly the stars of today’s training! 🐾🔥

Everyone got the chance to meet East Pulaski’s new fire dog, Sizzle! Sizzle will be joining us at many of our future trainings, and judging by today, she’s already become part of the fire service family and definitely stole the show!

Also, ahuge THANK YOU to VFW Post 4548 for allowing us to use their property for today’s training and for their incredible hospitality. They kept our crews supplied with drinks throughout the training and provided lunch afterward. Your support of our firefighters and our mission is greatly appreciated!

Training Today Because Our Community Deserves the Best

Today, we held training in East Pulaski Fire Department district. With six tankers participating, crews successfully moved 55,400 gallons of water over a 1.5-hour period, maintaining an average flow rate of 815 gallons per minute.

This training was about more than just improving our operational capabilities. It was an opportunity to demonstrate the purpose and value of our county task force and the mission we serve. We were pleased to have representatives from departments that are not currently members of the task force attend the exercise, observe our operations, and express interest in becoming involved.

Strong partnerships and coordinated response efforts are essential to providing the highest level of service to our citizens. By working together, sharing resources, and building relationships across jurisdictional boundaries, we strengthen our ability to protect lives and property throughout the region.

At the end of the day, this is why we train. This is why we collaborate. It’s not about district lines—it’s about serving our communities as one team with one mission: providing the best possible service when our citizens need us most.

We will be teaching a classroom course on rural water supply and going over how the PCTTF operates.

On 5/4/26 at 309PM we were dispatched to the area of Jennings road by Arch street fire dept. Upon arrival we dropped 2 tanks and started our water supply. We supplied 34,600 gallons to the fire ground allowing them to even utilize East End Fire Dept ladder truck. Tanker task force stopped operations and went back into service at 551PM

Today the Task Force held a training in Alexander.

Over a 2.5 hour period we moved 32,500 gallons of water. Average return time to dump site from dropping was between 15-17 minutes. All this was possible with only 4 tankers today. We do this to help maintain consistency in hopes we serve all communities when in need!
