We are still committed to keeping you safe! We haven’t forgotten what the last year has taught us about best practices for cleaning & safety. Livermore restaurants want you to know that we are refocused on on your health and safety by continuing to clean diligently and through mask wearing. Alameda County issued a new mask order Monday, August 2nd, amid growing concern over the spread of the Delta variant. That means masks are again required when indoors in a public setting - for staff as well as guests. Let’s get through this together!

SB314 -the Bar and Restaurant Recovery Act-

THIS LEGISLATION WILL:
• make all Covid-19 emergency outdoor flex-zone dining areas (parklets) in California permanent
• encourage restaurants and bars to invest in permanent and
aesthetically pleasing and safer outdoor structures
• allow for outdoor spaces to be shared by two adjacent businesses

California lifted the regional coronavirus stay-at-home orders Monday across the state, a change that could allow restaurants in many counties to reopen outdoor dining and services.

All counties will return to the colored tier system that assigns local risk levels based on case numbers and rates of positive test results for coronavirus infections, according to sources briefed on the plan by the governor’s office.

It’s far from clear whether the decision will lead to easing of stay-at-home rules in Los Angeles County, which has become a national epicenter of the   with hospitals overwhelmed by patients.

Still, the outdoor dining ban has been highly controversial, with some elected officials and the restaurant industry fighting in court and out to overturn it. Officials in some other Southern counties have been even more critical of the state-imposed rules, and had urged Newsom to give them more local control.

The city is considering earmarking funding for restaurants for these items so it’s up to us to organize and let them know what we need and how they can help!
